The Jesus attitude (part 2) - what would Jesus do?

"Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus" (Phil 2:5, NIV) "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:.." (Prov 23:7) Our life is ruled by our attitude. The way we see things is the way they are to us. If we see a half-empty cup, then that becomes our world view and automatically everything about us adjusts to suit that world view. But if we see a half-full cup, that equally becomes our world view and just in the same way everything around us adjusts to support that world view. In the long run, we control our own outcome by the mindset we have. Now, seeing a half-empty cup is a singular act; but the tendency to always see a half-empty cup each time we are presented with the same cup is a factor of our attitude - our mental habit. Our attitude rules us, controls us, shapes us; and can make or break us. If you must seek to be in control of anything in your life, seek to be in control of your attitude. In the previous lesson, we had established that the greatest of all attitudes is the attitude we posses about ourselves. "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he". Your perception of yourself is you. Nobody knows you, people learn about you from you! .

And most of what we project to people about ourselves is an extension of our attitude. Presented with any circumstance, we must try to align our attitude with Jesus' by asking the question "What would Jesus do?". "What would Jesus say?", "What would Jesus think?". If Jesus was facing the same problem you are facing today, what do you think He would do? We must submit our mind to the Word of God to gain a Spirit-controlled attitude.

God bless you!
