Opposing forces

"Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it." (Zech 1:21) Wherever good exists, there is always an opposing force of evil seeking to thwart it, frustrate it and diminish it. Actions and reactions are a principle of nature. As you position yourself to excel, there will be opposing forces. As you are clamouring to rise up and soar, you will encounter forces seeking to oppose that upliftment. This is not always a bad thing. It is to be anticipated, expected, and prepared for. Life is never meant to be a fruit basket. You will have to strive to fly and stay afloat. For thousands of years, man battled to overcome the force of gravity. Gravity made it that anything that goes up, must come down. This law and force was good as it helped to keep things at the center of the earth and prevent scattering of matter; but it also prevented man from enjoying the fastest means of transportation(air travel) for many years. It was only until December 17, 1903 that man celebrated the first victory over gravity as the Wright Brothers made four brief flights at Kitty Hawk with their first powered aircraft. The many years it took, the trials and the errors it involved before we could conquer this force, made us more careful and disciplined in using the victory. .

Today, we can fly and stay afloat for hours in air planes, balloons, etc. We can even travel outside the earth in spaceships and float around the galaxy; but we have also learned to be careful with such processes. Opposing forces may seek to bring us down, but they are actually there at the permission of God. The reason God has permitted them to exist is so that we can use them to practice and hone our flight skills. The times and energy we will spend conquering this opposing forces will only make us better and sharper... so in the end all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose (Rom 8:28). The problems is not always the opposing forces, the problem is usually a lack of determination to keep trying. Learn to leverage on your problems and turn them into stepping stones. In life, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
