The transplant

"who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son" (Colossians 1:13 KJV) .

A transplant is what happens when a planted crop is dug up and taken to another place and replanted. It's an agricultural term. When this is done, it is usually to make the crop stronger or more exposed to nutrients that will aid its growth and development. For some plants if this transplanting doesn't take place, they die.

I like to think of what Christ has done for us in terms of a transplant. We were in a really bad place. We were in bondage and danger. We were in sin. We were under the rulership of the devil and his demons. We were in darkness! But Jesus came and delivered us. It was the greatest deliverance of all and the beginning of every other deliverance. And he took us from that ugly place and kingdom, and transferred us...transplanted us into a better kingdom. Now we are better. And God's Holy Spirit dwells in us. What a transformation.
