(Isa 60:1,2) One of the outstanding dictionary meaning of the word "glory" is magnificence which means a great beauty. I want you to imagine for a minute the type of glory that God has. Imagine the beauty surrounding His throne. Imagine the magnificence of His majesty - His power, His affluence. Imagine the surging aura of His grandeur; and now imagine that glory being rested upon you because that is what God has done for you..
This month of July is our month of Glory. There are two types of glory: the glory that is revealed in you now, and the glory that will be revealed in you in eternity. While we await the glory of eternity, we still share in the glory of God here on earth. That is why the prophet Habakkuk said " For as the waters fill the sea, the earth will be filled with an awareness of the glory of the LORD." (Hab 2:14)
How will the world have awareness of God's glory? How will our generation feel the glory of God? How will sinners, unbelievers, occultic men, satan worshippers, and all manner of ungodly people inhabiting our wicked world today become aware of the glory of God? The only way that happens is if we as children of God - born of the Spirit and sanctified by the precious blood of the Lamb - begin to manifest that glory. The christian life is supposed to be a glorious life. A life of dominion. A life of winning. Not a defeated life, not a life of mediocrity. God intended for His children to manifest His glory. Our first mandate here on earth is to be an extension of heaven in this bedeviled world. We are ambassadors of heaven equipped with all the glory and blessings of heaven to rule our world. Habakkuk did not just say the world will have an awareness of God's glory, he said it will be filled with it. The glory will be so much that there will be no room for anything else. Satanism will bow. Occultism and terrorism will surrender as that glory is blown open. And this is not something that is going to happen in five years or fifty years time. The bible said it has already come. The light has come and the glory has risen upon you. All you have to do is arise.
Get up. Stop accepting anything that life throws at you, You have a choice. Arise, decide what you want in your life and command the things you don't want to get out. Let that glory come forth. It has been showered on you. Time to show the world around you some glory.
