Celebrate every success

"So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy." (Romans 9:16) In life you will meet a number of successes and failures. This is an irrefutable fact of life. The key to enjoying your life is to stay positive. This is done by finding it worthwhile to celebrate your success. If you are progressing, you will encounter more failures than success. What makes the failures worth the while is the single success that comes after. Never become so used to succeeding that you take them lightly. Did you pass your semester exam? Be thankful and celebrate. Did you have another baby? Even if it is your tenth baby, don't take it for granted. Always remember that for whatever you have there are hundreds of people out there working hard, praying hard and believing God for just the same thing. There is no small success. Success is always the product of maximizing an opportunity with the help of God. There is always the God factor in every success for "by strength shall no man prevail" (1 Sam 2:9)..

We have a habit of celebrating each new book, new publication or release we make in our ministry. We are never tired of being thankful no matter how frequent we succeed. Moreover, God is happy when we celebrate His goodness. Celebrating may not necessarily entail calling a full banquet and hiring caterers and event planners. It could just be done within your family with your wife and children; or parents and siblings. It could just be with you and your co-workers. It could just be a few friends. The point isn't to show off; but to be thankful. And when you celebrate remember that you are giving God back the glory, and you are taking the attention back to Him. Never assume that you have achieved anything by your own power even if you think you did; or people are telling you that you are so wonderful and special.

God despises the proud; but gives grace to the humble (Prov 16:5). You attract more grace through humility in achievement. Stay blessed!
