Uneasy lies the head

"For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost." (Romans 14:17) .

Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. Another way of saying this is, " whosoever that sits on the throne will have a lot of responsibilities". The Bible clearly states that to him much is given, much is also expected. (Luke 12:48).

One of the things God has accomplished in our lives this January is enthroning us. He has placed us in various positions of power and influence. Very soon we shall begin to see the manifestations of this.

God wants us to remember that the blessings and promotions He has given us comes with responsibilities. When God wanted to bless Abraham, He said to Abraham, "I will bless you and make you a blessing; and through you all the families of the earth shall be blessed". (Gen 22:17,18)

The scripture says that the kingdom of God is not food and drink. It is not child's play. It is serious business. At another instance, it says the kingdom of God suffereth (permits, allows or requires) violence (Matt 11:12). There is work to do. There are souls to win. There are temptations to overcome. There are prayers to pray. Bible to read. Church service to attend. Service to render in church. Sacrifices to make.

I declare and pray for God's grace upon you today to be able to take up and accomplish perfectly every responsibility that comes with where God has placed you in Jesus name. Amen!
