Confusion (part 1) - a strategy of warfare

"But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building. The Lord said, ... "Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other. So the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth... That is why it was called Babel — because there the Lord confused the language of the whole world." (Gen 11:5-8, NIV) "The LORD has mingled within her a spirit of confusion, and they will make Egypt stagger in all its deeds, as a drunken man staggers in his vomit." (Isa 19:14, ESV) Our God is a God of war! He is not a God of war because He is fighting for Himself, but because He is fighting on our behalf. He loves to be invited into our battles and to take over the battles. He enjoys going to battle on our behalf. And He has one of the deadliest weapon of warfare in His arsenal - confusion. When God wants to destroy our enemies, He does not deploy heavy artillery or dirty bombs or armored cars. He uses a most lethal force of destruction known as confusion. He throws in confusions into the camp of our enemies. He causes the people oppressing us to misread our footstep. All those monitoring spirit and spiritual surveillance witches keeping tabs on our lives and progress so that they can stop us or destroy us begin to see doubles. They see us say one thing and they mistake it for something else. They see us going left and they think we are going right. God uses confusion to wage the the deadliest fights against our enemies. As we study this new series, God will certainly set confusion into the camp of your enemies in Jesus name. Amen.

Our first text in Genesis 11 speaks of the first warfare God ever waged against mankind. God had told the people to disperse and fill the whole earth so that they will fulfill the purpose for which He created them. But the devil, possessing and working through a young man known as Nimrod wanted to rebel against God's command. He convinced and bewitched the people to neglect the commands of God, and start building a city that will reach the heaven. But God had other plans for them!

When their obstinate behaviour became unbearable, God deployed one round of confusion missile - boom! and it landed in their midst; causing them to start misreading each other's signs. God introduced the weapon of confusion in His first warfare against man. and ever since after, He has used the weapon against Pharoah (Exo 14), against the Syrians (2 Kings 7), against Moab and Ammon (2 Chro 20), etc. And up till today, He is still using this deadly weapon against our enemies and the enemies of righteousness. As God has taken over your battle, watch out for confusion in the camp of your enemies. Sit back and enjoy the show; because it has began.
