My grace is sufficient for you

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (2 Cor 12:9) The subject of grace is a very intriguing one. To understand grace is to understand the gospel. To appropriate grace is to maximize the priviledge accorded us by God. There is no love, joy, peace, fellowship, communion etc without grace. Grace is the first thing; it is also the last thing and the middle thing. It is the focal point and the pivot point. Grace is unconditional, unmerited and undeserved. Grace is all things and everything. Grace is all we need. The Apostle Paul was the last of the Apostles. Matter of factly, he was the least. From the word go, people were even unsure of his repentance and conversion. It took Barnabas to convince the disciples to give him the benefit of the doubt. All through his life, people questioned his ministry, doubted his apostleship and used him as a scape goat. But in his writings, Paul would always refer to how the grace of God found him and made him an apostle not by his own willingness or desire but by the will of God who made all things and knows all things. At one point, he wrote "I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, that He considered me faithful and appointed me to service. I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and a violent man; yet because I had acted in ignorance and unbelief, I was shown mercy. And the GRACE of our Lord overflowed to me, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus." (1 Tim 1 :13-15. BSB). .

Paul had a sickness that plagued him all his life. And he constantly prayed for healing. But the answer he always got from God was "My grace is sufficient for you!" Paul thougth that God was referring to his sickness. But no, God was actually referring to his ministry. It was this same grace that kept him to the point where he could boldly declare: "I have fought the good fight. I have finished my race. I have kept the faith!". Grace took a Jewish fanatic and turned him into one of the greatest teachers and evangelists that ever lived. Today, the grace of God is doing same. What is that thing that seems impossible in your live today? What is that thing you have been believing God for a miracle? Now, I hear God say to you, "My grace is sufficient for you!". This is the word of the Lord. Believe it and it shall come to pass in your life.

Stay blessed!
