"Now you are certain that everything we told you about our Lord Christ Jesus is true. You are not missing out on any blessings, as you wait for him to return." (1 Cor. 1:6-7, CEV) The Bible said that man looks at the outward appearance, and there is nothing we can do about it. Sometimes when we say that man looks at the appearance, we say it like it is a bad thing. We do not look at the outward appearance because we are carnal, we do so because that is the way we are wired - to use our senses to evaluate the world around us..
This is why the gospel which Jesus brought is not meant to change only our spiritual state, it also touches our physical. There can be no complete change in a man until it has reflected in the physical. Man is a spirit living in a body; therefore the physical is very much a part of who we are.
Paul told the Corinthian christians that they can be certain of everything they have been told about Jesus Christ, seeing as they are not lacking in any blessing. The assurance of the gospel of Jesus Christ is in the blessing it brings. The blessing of salvation, of grace, of eternal life, of freedom, of deliverance, of prosperity, of healing - a total package of blessings.
Friend, you are not meant to lack in any blessing - not even one. The reason Jesus came is to give you the fullness of life, a glorious life, complete in all blessings.
I have to ask, "Are you lacking in any blessing?" If you are, then, something is missing. Salvation is great - so is every other gifts and blessings that come with it. So why are you settling for the half package? Go for the complete package. Get hold of all the blessings. That is God's will for your life.
