Associate with success

"Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise..." (Prov 13:20, ESV) At first this statement sounds like an exaggeration. "Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise", just like that? Just walking with the wise had the ability to make someone wise? Just associating with successful people can make you successful? Just being around great people, observing them, studying them can make you great? The answer is a resounding yes. There is more to association than meets the eyes. Association creates some kind of mental synergy between people. When you spend your days and nights learning about success and associating with successful people, you stand a better chance of succeeding in life than others who don't. There is no mystery to this, just plain law of cause and effect. The fastest road to success is to learn from people who have succeeded. .

These days association does not have to be physical anymore, it could be virtual - meeting and connecting on the cyber space through computers, the internet and social media. You can associate with someone or a group of people without ever meeting them physically. You can become friends on Facebook, follow each other on Twitter, Instagram, etc. Find the right person and persons that symbolizes the type of success you want and associate with them. You can read their books, watch their videos, listen to their tapes. Get so close to them that they start to influence your actions. If you want to be successful in business, make a list of successful business people to associate with through your social media and start following them. If you are a musician, a preacher, a programmer, an artist, a photographer, etc; associate with successful people. Remove all those friends that you added just because their profile picture was beautiful or handsome. Add and follow people that will add something to your life and focus you to be the best you can be.

God has given you a secret to success. Stay close to success, associate with success and you will become successful. It is counterproductive to associate with successful people from Monday to Thursday, and then go back on Friday and Saturday to hang out with people that will shift your focus. To associate means to form a union.
