Total victory

"The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. May the grace of our Lord Jesus be with you." (Rom 16:20, NLT) "I will crush his(your) foes before him(you) and strike down his(your) adversaries." (Psa 89:23, NIV, emphasis mine) This passage is filled with a lot of spiritual truth and mystery. At one point it sounds like a promise; from another point, it sounds like a prophecy. Apostle Paul speaking under the power of the Holy Spirit draws a vivid picture of what God is going to do to satan, and he goes further to stress that this action will take place sooner than expected. God is not just going to defeat satan, He is going to crush him. It is going to be total defeat. A defeat that will ensure that he is rendered into a vegetative state. Total victory, and the best part is that God is not going to use His own feet to do this, He will use your feet to accomplish this great feat!.

Many christians live their lives second-guessing themeselves. They are wondering if they are good enough; whether they have enough faith, whether they are righteous enough. Some spend their times wondering if their prayer life is good enough to defeat the devil. I will tell you who else had that problem. It was Moses. When God calledĀ  Moses, he (Moses) wasn't sure he was upto the task. But God told him that the little staff he had in his hands is enough. God is not going to fight for you because you pray enough or because you are righteous enough. No, He will fight for you because you have made Him your God and because you have put your trust in Him. The Bible says:

"the LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love." (Psa 147:11)

That is why God is going to crush satan for you. That your little faith is enough. That your little prayer is enough. Your salvation and victory is not by works but by grace. Look at the second part of that scripture. It says, "May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you". It is by that grace that God will use your little feet, yout little faith, your irregular prayer life to crush satan. This is not to say that God expects you to be lazy as a christian. They truth is your prayer life, bible reading, etc is what Paul called spiritualĀ  exercise (1 Tim 4:8). They serve to build up your spiritual muscle. They are not to cause God to do something for you. God will do what He wants to do for you whether you prayed or not. After all, did you pray that Jesus should die for you? The answer is no.

God is going to give you total victory over satan, over your enemies, over your problem. God will crush them under your feet! Halleluyah!
