"And the LORD restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends. And the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before." (Job 42:10, ESV) I don't know about you. But this month has been full of challenges for me. I have had several occasions of displeasure and discomfort. I have equally lost somethings this month which sounds ironical seeing that God has promised that this month is our month of restoration. It is my constant prayers and enquiry from God concerning the state of our restoration that gave rise to this message. I don't know what you have lost or what you are in the process of losing, God said He will restore them. I choose to believe God over anything and everything. I choose to walk by faith instead of sight. The facts may say a different thing, but declaring and believing God's word can turn around any situation. And God's word says "Your restoration has come"!.
I like to assume that we all know the famous story of the man from Uz called Job. It is one of the most horrendous stories about losses. The man lost his children, his wealth, his house, his health etc; but he kept on believing that God will restore him. His friends called him a fraud, and blamed him for his losses and evil ordeal. I think this is why the Holy Spirit started the story of Job by telling us that he was a blameless man (Job 1:1) because not everybody is suffering because of their sin. Some are suffering because God has allowed it. Not everything we have lost is as a result of our sin or prayerlessness. Some losses occur because God has allowed it, and He (God) will restore those things when He is done.
The scripture we read says that God restored the fortunes of Job, and doubled it. That is very interesting. I want you to know that when the restoration comes, you are definitely getting more than you lost. Did I hear an Amen? God is not weak to save. If He didn't save you at that time, know that He has a purpose. When His purpose is accomplished, your restoration is guaranteed.
"And everyone who has left [lost] houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life." (Matt 19:29)
Get up and put on a smile. Your restoration has come
