"That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him" (Eph 1:17) God has given you His glory. God has granted you access to His divine presence; He has allowed you to share in that which makes Him God. He has given you the lifetime privilege of being a partaker of His divine nature by endowing you with His glory. But why has God done all these? What does God hope to accomplish in our lives by bringing us His glory. This is what we want to discuss today!.
The text we read said that God, the Father of glory will give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. There are two basic things that God hopes to achieve in our lives by giving us His glory. The first is to establish in our hearts the Spirit of wisdom - God's wisdom, and to grant us a daily revelation in the knowledge of Him. There are many ways to learn about God. We can learn about God by asking people, by reading the Bible and even other books. Then there is the knowledge through revelation. It is this kind of knowledge that God wants to grant us through His glory.
As a child of God, glory isn't just about blessings, riches and other physical things; it is more about the spiritual things that cannot rot. Spiritual qualities that will help us become victorious over the natural! Things like wisdom and a revelational knowledge of God. It is this kind of knowledge that Paul prayed for when he said, "That I may know Him..."
If we earnestly desire to have a constant daily revelational knowledge of God, then we must be in affinity with the glory of God. As this month of glory draws to a glorious end, God wants to ensure that you haven't missed out on anything. God wants to make sure that you have encountered His glory. It is not enough to hear and read about this glory. You have to experience it. You have to encounter it - for your own good. The glory will power your mind with wisdom and knowledge and ignite your spirit to burn with new zeal and a new lease of life. Arise and shine for your light has come and the glory of God is risen upon you!
