Deliverance from fear

"I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears." (Psalm 34:4) .

Sadly we all have fears. Something that scares the life out of us. Something that we dread that might happen. An impending doom hovering over us and threatening to happen or occur. The collapse of our marriage! The death of a loved one. Loss of our investments. Missing of the rapture! These are all real fears that trouble real people. And even if your fears are not covered in the short list above, you still have fears.

Fears are deadly. Lots of people die from fear than other emotions. Fear can lead to high blood pressure, hypertension, panic attack, etc. And all these things can kill as fast as anything. It is not a coincidence that God spends so much time resounding the word "Fear not" all over the scriptures. Some say that there are actually 365 "Fear not"s in the entire King James Bible. That could be true, I haven't counted. But this goes to show that it is a recurring instruction. So how do we stop fear? We stop fear only when we become aware that God has delivered us from all our fears. As long as we still think or feel like our fears are real, we keep entertaining them.

But today's message says "If you seek God and call on Him, he will hear you and deliver you from all your fears." All, not some. Why don't you try that today? Mention your fears - your greatest fears to God in prayer and ask God to deliver you from them in Jesus' name. I assure you you will receive an overflowing peace that only comes from deliverance.

Stay blessed.
