"...weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." (Ps 30:5, KJV) In the order of nature, the night comes before the morning. It must also be known that from Genesis 1:3, we understand that darkness preceded light. The light came as a result of the darkness. God said let there be light because darkness covered everywhere. And to further buttress this fact, at the end of each day, the Bible will record, "The evening came and the morning came, making up one day" (Gen 1:5,8,13,19 paraphrased). This is simply to establish that contrary to what we have come to assume, the day does not begin from the morning, it rather starts from the night. We do not actually sleep at the end of the day, we sleep at the beginning of the day to prepare ourselves for the day's labour. Now, in its secondary connotation, the night usually represents an unpleasant time. The night is usually bedeviled by so many ills. A lot of evil happen in the night possibly because of the covering of darkness. And the night is figuratively used to represent a period of gloom, loneliness, lack, deprivation, limitation, endangerment, etc. But the good news is that the night does not last forever. .
No matter how long the night may seem, it must be replaced by the morning. The night can never refuse to go away. It has no choice. It is only appointed a specific amount of time for the day. And at the expiration of that time, it must leave willingly or unwillingly. This proves that no matter how unpleasantly your day, your life, your business, your marriage may have started; there is a glorious dawn coming your way right now. The morning is about to break forth and it is coming with joy - joy unspeakable. Weeping may endure for a night... but its time is numbered. What God wants you to have - all the thing He has prepared for you - is coming with the morning. Raise your hands in praise, lift up your voice in a shout of victory. Your morning is here and with it your joy. Stay blessed!
