"He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler" (Psalm 91:4) I think these days, our greatest need is safety. It is far becoming more important than food or clothing or anything else we may consider a basic need. In the time of war and chaos, people forgo food for many days as they are running for the preservation of their lives. It doesn't matter how hungry you are, you will never purposely eat a poisoned food because you consider your life and safety more precious than food. Our world today is nothing if not a war zone. Just like Jesus predicted, there are wars and rumours of war. Nations are rising against nations. Terrorism is destroying the lives of innocent people. No one is safe. Here in Nigeria, hundreds are being butchered by ungodly herdsmen. Boko Haram is threatening our security and government. And just when it seems like we have had enough, a fuel tanker explodes destroying lives and properties. we keep praying and it seems as if nothing is changing. Children are being rendered fatherless in the split of a second. Women who greeted their husbands with a warm kiss in the morning, turn to widows before the day comes to a close. There is total chaos and apathy. In America, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, etc... there is no place that is exempt. With all these uncertainty and life-threatening circumstances, it is natural to be scared. it is completely understandable if you feel terrified. But the good news I have for you today is that "God will protect you"..
Your life is precious in His sight. It doesn't matter what evil the devil and his cohorts unleash on our world, God has promised to keep you safe. You can go about your daily business with your faith fully anchored on God. He will tell you when to turn left or right. He will tell you which vehicle to board or not. He will dispatch His angel to minister safety to you. He says that you are the apple of His eyes, and He values your life. God is not going to let the devil terminate His work in your life. He will preserve you. He will protect you. As we wrap up this month of Unspeakable Joy today, I want you to take a few moment and remember all the times that God has delivered you from danger; and rejoice because He will do it all over again and again. Hope you had joy this month. See you in July! Stay blessed.
