Fath vs Sight

“Come,” said Jesus. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the strength of the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!" (Matt 14:29-30) Peter had a choice to make between faith and sight. At first, he choose faith. He started by faith, by listening to the voice of Jesus - the voice of God. But along the way, he turned back to his sight. The bible said he "saw" the strength of the wind..

Faith comes by hearing the word of God. When we hear the word of God and obey it we practice faith, and we are in tune with God's will and purpose. The bible says that Jesus called Peter to come. Peter heard the word of Jesus and obeyed and he was able to walk on water. But then afterwards he turned to see the wind, reverting back to sight; and he started sinking.

I charge you today to overlook the deafening sound of pains, sicknesses, lack, economic recession, fear, disappointment. Stop seeing those. Reject sight! Choose faith. Listen to what is saying about your life, your future, your destiny; and let it be the guiding post of your life.
