"For thus says the LORD: ‘David shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel;" (Jer 33:17) .
To be enthroned is to be placed on a position of glory, authority and dominion. To be enthroned is to be placed in the position of rulership. Or simply put, to be placed on the throne.
As I search the scriptures, I came to realize that enthronement is usually a reward for faithful service.
When David served God faithfully, God established a covenant of enthronement with his family. Forever, there will always be someone from his lineage on the throne.
When Jehu served God faithfully by executing judgement over the house of Ahab, God established a covenant of enthronement with his family. For five generations, there will always be one from his household on the throne.
When Joseph explained Pharaoh's dream and proffered solution to the problems of Egypt, he was enthroned as a prime minister of Egypt.
There is a pattern here. One serves faithfully, one is rewarded by enthronement. This is not just a pattern, it is a principle. Your gateway to your throne is faithful service. If you can serve faithfully, you are sure of the throne!
