"Now when the turn of Esther...was come to go in unto the king... Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her" (Esther 2:15) Excellence is a beautiful thing. It is what separates success from failure; separates grace from disgrace; and marks the ground upon which exploits are built. I love the woman Esther! She is an embodiment of Excellence. Now, among all the wonderful women in the Bible - Deborah, Prophetess Anna, Mary the mother of Jesus, Elizabeth the mother of John, etc; only two women Ruth and Esther had a book of the Bible named after them. And I think that is an amazing honour. The first woman Ruth was a foreigner whose excellence shined forth in Israel so much that she influenced the generations of Israel. The second woman, Esther was an Israelite whose excellence shined forth in a foreign land so much that she influenced the generations of Israel. My emphasis today is on the woman and Queen, Esther. You have to realize that Esther was not just sitting on her own and favour came and located her like some of us wish for. You have to be doing something, working on yourself, improving on yourself, striving towards excellence so that when your favour comes, it will locate you. In the case of Esther, there was a lot of rigorous selection process which she passed before she could appear before the king. And the Bible said when the turn of Esther came, she obtained favour. .
No matter what we want to believe and affirm, life is turn by turn; season by season. it will not always be our turn. But when our turn comes, we can make maximum use of it by being excellent and diligent. I declare to you today that your turn shall come, and favour shall locate you. But I have to be very frank to you, it will not come by shouting the loudest amen. You will have to work your way to it; prepare yourself for it; pray yourself to it. You will have to be excellent in whatever you are doing. A lot of persons have missed their season by laziness. An excellent person is prepared at all times and when favour comes, it is easy to be located . Stay blessed!
