Peace was always the plan

"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful." (Col 3:15) Peace was always the plan. The reason God became man, stayed nine months in the womb of a mortal, walked the surface of the earth for over 1,000 days and died a shameful death on the cross, nailed to a tree between two criminals was just so that we may have peace - peace with God, peace with each other, peace with ourselves. With sin, came chaos, dissection, separation; but God called us into peace through the sacrifice of His begotten son, Jesus..

Yesterday, as I was teaching a group of young people, I read from Gal 3:29; it says: "If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."

As christians, belonging to Christ, we are automatically children of Abraham not by physical birth, but by spiritual birth. This means we have been adopted into the Abrahamic lineage to become heirs of the covenant and promise; and one of those promises which we inherit is the covenant of peace in Isaiah 54:10. Anyone who isn't born again is an enemy of God. But when we receive Christ into our lives, He mediates for peace between us and God. That is why the Bible says that the chastisement of our peace was upon Him (Jesus). As soon as Adam and Eve sinned and came short of the glory of God, God began making plans for peace. And that peace is a different kind of peace - the peace that transcends understanding. So, the first step towards enjoying this peace is to amend one's ways with God. Reconcile yourself to God by accepting Christ and living a life worthy of your repentance. If you don't do this, you will remain an enemy of God and at the mercy of the devil. And the Bible says there is no peace for the wicked. But accepting Christ keys you into the ultimate plan of peace. Peace was always the plan.

Stay blessed!
