The throne is not for children

"Think of it this way. If a father dies and leaves an inheritance for his young children, those children are not much better off than slaves until they grow up, even though they actually own everything their father had." (Galatians 4:1 NLT).

The throne is not for children. It is true that we often associate the throne with all the glory, honor, power and majesty that comes with it; but we must never forget the fact that the throne is a place of responsibility - huge responsibility.

A popular English adage says, "uneasy lies the head that wears the crown". When one is crowned and enthroned, one is opened up to a world of immense responsibility unlike whatever one is used to.

This is why we do not bring children to the throne. On the throne, every decision, word, action bears consequences. And children are characterized by their lack of a sense of consequences. A child has no idea what consequence is. A child is carefree. Kings and those sitting on the throne cannot afford to be carefree because their position comes with a sense of responsibility which can make or mar lives.

If you are ready for the throne, you must show it from your maturity. You must grow up to qualify for the throne Otherwise, you are not "better than a servant"

May God grant us the grace to grow up to be enthroned in Jesus name.
