"Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor." (Prov 21:21) "..Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." (Matt 6:33) The things of the kingdom are a mystery to them that believe not. The way things work in the world is different from the way things work in the Kingdom. In the kingdom we operate from a different dimension and angle. The world concentrates on seeking things, but we concentrate on seeing God and His righteousness, and in the end we get all those things they are seeking more than they do. Friend, the truth is what God wants to give you is not healing or money or prosperity or children. What God really wants to give you is His righteousness which comes by a covenant relationship with Him. All those other things are just bye-products. Righteousness is the seed for God's presence, and God's presence is what attracts God's blessings. This month God is saying, "Come closer to me. Seek righteousness. Build a relationship with Me" When you draw near to God He will draw near to you. .
Righteousness is the principle, the foundation of all things and the gratest virtue. When God declares us righteous through our faith in Jesus, He expects us to live a life worthy of that righteousness. He expects us to shun evil and embrace good. He expects us to live innharmony with Him, His word and His will. That is what this month is all about.
