One of the greatest evidences of spiritual maturity is a growing desire to serve others. .
“For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.” — Galatians 5:13 (KJV)
Spiritual immaturity constantly asks, “What can God do for me?”
Spiritual maturity begins to ask, “What can God do through me?”
Jesus was the greatest example of servant leadership. Though He was Lord, He humbled Himself and served others.
He washed His disciples' feet. He fed the hungry. He touched the rejected. He healed the sick. He taught the multitudes. Ultimately, He gave His life for humanity.
The closer we become to Jesus, the more we should develop His heart for people.
Service is not limited to standing behind a pulpit. You can serve through your profession, business, resources, skills, encouragement, generosity, hospitality, prayer, and practical assistance.
God has given every believer something that can benefit others.
Peter tells us to use whatever gift we have received to serve others as faithful stewards of God's grace.
Spiritual maturity is therefore not measured only by how much we know but also by how much we are willing to give.
If everything in our Christian life revolves around receiving—receiving blessings, receiving prayers, receiving encouragement, receiving attention—we may still be spiritually immature.
Maturity teaches us to become channels rather than containers.
God blesses us so that we can become a blessing.
When Christ's character is growing in us, selfishness begins to decrease and service begins to increase.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, give me the heart of a servant. Remove selfishness and pride from me. Show me the gifts and resources You have placed in my hands and teach me to use them for the benefit of others. Let my life become a channel through which Your love reaches people. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I serve with humility and love.
My gifts are instruments in God's hands.
I look for opportunities to help others.
