Seeing through the eyes of God

"For we walk by faith and not by sight" (2 Cor 5:7) Perception is an important thing in life. Sometimes the battles of life are won or lost based on perception. You can overcome what is troubling you or you can get swallowed up by simply how you perceive your situation. Our outlook is very essential. It can make or mar our capacity. Life is not so much about what is going on as it is how we perceive what is going on. What we see and how we see are very important. Do we see a half-empty glass or a half-full glass. It is all perception. As a matter of certainty, we are sorrounded by facts. Facts are real. They constitute our reality. You may want to have a good dinner, but your facts can tell you that you can't afford it. Not only does facts speak to us, they also show us proof. They show you your bank account, shows you your last three transactions, shows you how broke you are. You may be believing God for a healing. But facts give you a resounding slap in the face by showing you how swollen up your legs are. They remind you of the pain in your abdomen. Facts are overwhelming, deafening and excruciating. But the trick to overcoming facts is to see through the eyes of faith. The eyes of faith is the eyes of God. .

What does the word of God say concerning you? What does it say concerning your situation? Does it say you are healed? Does it say you can make it? When an angel of God came to Gideon in the bush in Judges 6, he looked at the timid, trembling, scared-to-death young man and called him "thou mighty man of valour!" It is not a coincidence that God sees you as He made you. Situations may have damaged you, broken you, crushed you; but whenever God looks at you He still sees exactly the winner He created. Now, all you have to do is try and look at yourself through the eyes of God.
