One of the things faith does is teach us to pray boldly. .
“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
— Jeremiah 33:3 (KJV)
God says: “Call unto me, and I will answer thee.”
What an invitation.
The Creator of the universe invites us to call upon Him. Yet sometimes our prayers become smaller than God's ability. We pray only for what we can imagine. We ask only for what we think is achievable. We calculate everything according to our resources.
But God says:
“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
God is not intimidated by the size of your request. You can bring your biggest concern to Him. You can bring your greatest need. You can bring the situation you don't know how to solve. You can bring the dream that seems beyond your capacity. You can bring the person whose situation seems beyond your ability to change.
Ask.
But asking boldly does not mean demanding that God do exactly what we want. Faith understands that God is sovereign. We pray boldly while remaining submitted to His will.
Jesus demonstrated this in Gethsemane. He prayed sincerely about what He desired, but ultimately submitted Himself to the Father's will. Therefore, biblical boldness is not arrogance. It is confidence in God's character and power combined with submission to His wisdom.
Don't be afraid to ask God for great things. Perhaps you have stopped praying about something because it has taken too long. Perhaps disappointment has caused you to reduce your expectations. Perhaps you have concluded that your request is too big.
Remember: Your prayer does not have to be bigger than God.
Ask.
Believe.
Trust.
And leave the outcome in God's hands.

Prayer
Father, teach me to pray boldly. Give me faith to bring great and impossible things before You. Help me to trust Your wisdom even when Your answer is different from what I expected. I surrender my requests to Your will while believing in Your unlimited power. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I pray boldly.
I bring my needs before God.
I am not intimidated by impossible situations.
God hears me when I call.
I trust His power, His wisdom, and His will.
