"Be strong and courageous! Don't be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria or his mighty army, for there is a power far greater on our side!" (2 Chro 32:7, NLT) I have watched in a few movies as pilots struggle to control a turbulent airplane. Suspended high up there in the air at the mercy of Physics and fate, a flight can get rocked in the most unexpected way. A leaking fuel pipe. A hole on the plane reducing the atmospheric pressure required to keep the plane afloat. An equipment malfunction. A careless oversight by the maintenance team... Any experienced pilot knows that a lot could go wrong in the slightest moment and sabotage the airplane. That is why pilots are trained to perform emergency maneuvers. These maneuvers help them to regain control of the airplane in the most unusual circumstances and continue the flight without hitches or any damages. But some times even those maneuvers. Sometimes the tricks just don't work. The trainings fail and the only option is to down the plane as soon as possible, minimizing the damage as much as possible. The pilot repositions the plane to land most times half-controlling the descent. And as the plane nosedives towards the ground, the panicking passengers are told to fasten their seat belts and "brace themselves for impact" because something unconventional is about to happen. .
In my experience, nobody builds a door with the hope of breaking it. That is why people place door knobs, and keys on their doors so that while the door is shut, one could use the key to unlock it. But in some extreme circumstances, I have seen people breaking into their own house. They lift their hammers and mercilessly ram it into the door they had bought and installed with their money. The heavy impact shakes the door in its hinges and joints as it shatters open. There is always a huge loss encountered. The door may become broken beyond use; but the people feel a surprising sense of satisfaction. I too have had to force open my own car door. I rendered a part of the side shield unusable as I forcefully lifted it to gain entrance.
In life, not all things responds to convention. Not everything is gotten with gentleness. With somethings, you just have to go unconventional. Get set God is about to go unconventional with you. It is the month of breakthrough. Child of God, brace yourself for impact!
