"So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals. But for Adam no suitable helper was found." (Gen 2:20) The Bible said that after God created anything, He would look at it and say that it was good. He did that when He created the light, the plants, the animals. He would look at each of them specifically and say that they are good. But after He created man, He didn't do that; not because man wasn't good but because something or rather someone was still missing!.

What many of us fail to realise is that for the first few days or weeks that Adam lived on earth, he was completely miserable. Why? because he had no suitable HELPER!
Our life becomes a repetitious boredom - sapped of every fun and vigour - without interaction with others, without assistance from those better of than we are, without help from others, irrespective of how good, talented, skilled, rich, handsome, beautiful - etc - we are.
It goes without saying that God meant for us to exist and survive by helping each other. But friend, helpers fail. Adam was later given a helper in the person of Eve. But it was this same helper that brought about his downfall.
Adam said: "It was the woman (the helper) You gave me the fruit and I ate it" (Gen 3:12). And no wonder David concluded: "My HELP comes from the LORD..." (Psa 121:2)
Friend, people may be able to help you, but it is unwise to rely on people for help. There is an ever present help - One who never fails. He is there with you and for you always. His name is Jesus. The greatest helper, the dependable helper.
