Beholding His glory

""But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." (1 Cor 3:18) "The Word became a human being and lived here with us. We saw his true glory, the glory of the only Son of the Father." (John 1:14, CEV) When Jesus walked this earth, He had and exhibited glory; and people actually saw and witnessed it. each time He preached people witnesses the glory. Each time He taught or healed the sick or raised the dead, the glory was visible. Now, we are the representatives of Jesus on earth. We are the CHRIST-ians and our work is to continue this reign of glory..

We are greatly influenced by sight. Eighty percent of our thought and mental imagery is stimulated by sight and what we see. This is why Jesus tells us to let our light so shine before men that they may see our good work and glorify our Father in heaven.

Few people will be happy to hear stories about the glory of God, about how Jesus healed the sick.; how Paul and Silas sang and the prison door was opened. But a lot of people will be more interested to see it happen before their very eyes. There is a reason people are flocking to all these "prayer" houses and "miracle" centers, it is because they go there and they see wonders performed before their very eyes. If we want to convince people that Jesus is real and in fact greater than any other, we must show forth His glory. Nothing says great like glory. Nothing screams "superior" like glory.

Our mission is to behold the glory of God and pass it on to our world. When people look at us they should see the glory of God. Like John, all our friends should be able to say "We beheld His glory through you".

Prayer

Lord help me to show forth your glory, and let my world experience Your glory through me in Jesus name. Amen!
