"After that he is sold he may be redeemed again; one of his brethren may redeem him" (Lev 25:48) For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: (Job 19:25) Jesus is boldly called our Redeemer. A redeemer is one charged with the duty of paying a ransom, restoring the rights of another and avenging his wrongs. The concept of redemption was introduced by God as a means of ensuring that no man is put in a place of hopelessness in life. It is a tradition designed to project the possibility of hope. It is designed to send the message that no matter how bad a situation gets, there can always be a head way. God wants to let people know that it doesn't matter how terrible their mistakes are in the past and present, they can always look forward to a better future, a greater future, a future with the guarantee of redemption. Redemption wipes the slate clean and restores the situation to default status. We have to understand what leads to redemption,and why the system was created. .
The Bible states that if an Israelite becomes so out of their mind, so stupid, so careless that he would sell himself to a stranger to become a slave for any reason, in spite of this inexcusable foolishness and mistake, there is yet hope for such a person. A redeemer can be raised to redeem him, deliver him from his wrong ways and grant him a second chance. It didn't matter what led to the slavery, the job of the redeemer is simple: to pay the debt of the redeemed and set him free
