"And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you." (Matt 24:4) .
While he was on earth, Jesus loved and cared about his disciples so much. There was nothing he wanted more than for them to become the best of themselves. He taught them, prayed for them, fed them, exposed them. His life was devoted to making them better persons. After all, his recruiting theme was, "Follow me and I will make you...". His promise was to make them better, stronger, wiser, richer.
Today we are extensions of those disciples Jesus had when he was on earth. We are the disciples of Jesus today. And his intentions has not diminished in anyway. He still wants to make us better versions of ourselves.
But here is one catch: take heed! That means be careful in today's simpler English. Jesus' way is simple and sometimes seems foolish to the ordinary eyes. There is the tendency to feel that it is not working and go in search of something else. Take heed. Don't listen to contrary views and gainsayers. Stay the course with Jesus because it works and It's working. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Don't let anyone deceive you.
