Stay focused (part II) - keep doing what you are doing

"Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation" (1 Pet 2:12) People will speak ill of you if you are doing well. This is not a debatable fact. It is the simple and plain truth. There is hardly anywhere that good exists without experiencing severe persecution by evil. In fact, if everyone speaks good of you, you should be wary because it is a sign you are not doing well. Referring to Himself, Jesus said if the head of the house was called Beelzebul, the prince of demon what worse name shall they call the followers? (Matt 10:25) Peter experienced first hand what it meant to suffer for being good. His first letter was specifically written to address this issue. In his letter, he was writing to christians who were being molested, persecuted, wrongly accused, abused and killed for simply being chirstians. I have personally noticed that we have more evil in this world than good. So naturally evil always tries to snuff out good, to silence good wherever it is found because good is always a threat to evil. If allowed to stand and grow, good will eventually overthrow evil and put an end to it. And the devil knows this fact and is scared to death about it. So he will fight tooth and nail to discourage good from taking root. But the Bible says to all good people out there "Stay focused". Keep doing what you are doing. Don't let the persecution get to you! .

In the very words of Apostle Peter, he said, your detractors, accusers, persecutors, "... by your good works, which they shall behold, [will] glorify God..." In other words, what you are doing will eventually bring them to their knees. Are you being spoken ill of, and you are sure you are doing good, you are sure you are doing the right thing, you are sure you are doing what God has asked you to do; then keep at it. Stay focused. You will come out a winner, and you will surely be vindicated! Stay blessed! Stay focused!
