Defeating Fear

"Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid..." (Josh 1:9) As children we begin life by learning how to fear. We start by being afraid of the dark, or of heights, or of water, or of closed spaces. We make up nice sounding names like claustrophobia, hemophobia, aviatophobia, acrophobia and many other phobias to dress up our fear. .

Fear is one of the first things we never have to learn. It just seems so natural. That is why the concept of faith is so strange to us. The idea of standing up to our fears causes us to fear even more. Simply put, we are afraid to have faith

Curtis Jackson "50 Cent" wrote a book with Robert Greene, and they called it The 50th Law; some sort of addendum to the 48 Laws of Power. The 50th law they said is "fearlessness - having complete mastery over your fear". A law known and practised by all great and accomplished persons.

Great men have come and gone. Generals have fought and won great battles. If there is anything they all share in common, it is the mastery over fear - a total defeat of fear. Until, you confront your fears you will never be free. Until you defeat your fears, you will never maximize your potential.

Shakespeare said "Cowards die many times before their death". You may not have taken the time to check this out, but what is limiting you in life may be your fears.

True faith is the absence of fear. A total mastery over all fears.
